When I first got the lake I thought it could take about 20 swims but when I drained it I had a different view. I spent 2 days walking in and around the lake putting wooden posts in to mark where I thought the swims would be. Boy that brought back some memories, it was like fishing back on the 'Orient' again with all that mud.

A lot of thought went into the construction of the swims at Lake Bossard.
First was the welfare of the fish, I made the swims only 8-10" above the water line which makes returning the fish very easy. Second was the size of the swim and third was how it looked.
Each swim was carefully cut into the tree line around the Lake.
I decided on 6 double and 6 single swims on 23 acres of water, with only 10 anglers on the lake at any 1 time gives you scope to move if you wish (don't forget we will help you move!)

Each swim has underground drainage and the top surface is grass at the back and wood bark at the front. All swims are big enough for a 2 man bivy which can be set well back as margin fishing can be very productive.
In front of all the swims I've put plenty of pea shingle down so no muddy feet when taking those once in a lifetime water shots. There is a weigh post and XL Euro unhooking mat in every swim.
